Nightlight the Night Fury.
(Part of a HTTYD-ROTG crossover. May have spoilers for a story.) Nightlight is a young Night Fury/Light Fury Dragon who was cut off from the Hidden World at a young age.

Abilities[]
Nightlight flying in high cloud.
Nightlight is capable of firing plasma blasts, purple-white fireballs that detonate upon impact, as well as echolocation, which allows her to navigate dark or tight spaces with ease. Her wings, split-able spines, and tail fins give her great prowess in the air, able to rival Jack Frost in terms of aerial agility and speed. Her (mostly) black scales allow her to blend in well with the night sky, and she is able cloak herself for long periods of time by diving through her own flame and triggering her scales' reflective properties. It is unknown whether she can absorb or conduct lightning.

Diet: Pisicvore, primarily eats fish. Also partial to honeycomb, crab and other seafood. Will eat beef or other meat when food is scarce. Detests eels.

Nightlight flying over the Northern Atlantic.
A mixture of wary, curious, playful and protective, Nightlight roars first to warn and only openly attacks when certain individuals are threatened.
Relationships[]
Yeti /Hairies: Nightlight does not view the North Pole Yeti as prey (now) and is fairly neutral towards them, both keeping out of the others' way. The Yeti are grateful to the dragon for keeping the elves in line, or at least driving them away from toy-making zones.
North Pole Reindeer/Flying Deer: Nightlight is curious and confused about their wingless flying ability, but they bear a resemblance to the deer she hunts, so she also sees them as a particularly difficult prey, and the Reindeer stables have been dragon-proofed accordingly, and, to Nightlight, annoyingly.
Elves/Jinglers: Nightlight usually finds the Elves a nuisance, due to the noise they create. She takes great pleasure in stalking and jumpscaring them. Rumoured to have taken an Elf named Jingle hostage, carrying him about in her mouth for nearly three days, claiming him as a toy until North gave her a more satisfying squeaky rubber version.
Tooth Fairy Armies: Nightlight is, again, confused about the Tooth Fairies, appearing to her to be a mixture of beetle and bird. She allows them to inspect and clean her teeth, but it is unknown whether she considers them allies.
Human Hatchlings/Little Humans: Nightlight will tolerate the children in Jamie's friend group, and allow them to pet her and sit on her. They (and Jack) have introduced her to several games, such as Fetch, Hide-and-Seek, Tag, Chase-the-Shiny-Light, etc.
Friends/Allies[]
Nightlight considers the Guardians her 'pack' and often relies on them for defence, help, or comfort. She will also come flying to their aid whenever she believes it's needed, and responds to all hails over the Borealis Network as fast as possible.
Tooth /Shiny Flier: Originally hostile at the fairy's enthusiasm towards her dental structure, Nightlight will now approach the Fairy Queen with any tooth-related problems, and was impressed by her fighting skill during the her first battle with Pitch.
Bunny /Big Rabbit, Hopper: Nightlight seems both bemused and curious by Bunny and his Easter-egg-decorating, but does not show hostility towards him, although in their first encounter she considered eating him.
North /Loud-And-Jolly: Nightlight respects North, and has a kinship in his love of flight. She is also curious about his toys and inventions, and is welcome at the North Pole's head office at any time of the year.
Sandman /Dreamweaver: The Guardian of Dreams has a good relationship with the Night Fury, both being able to make sense of the others images/body language and vocalisations quite well.
Jack Frost /frost-boy: A winter spirit and the Guardian of Fun, an entity Nightlight has closely bonded with. She has attempted to steal his staff exactly once. She enjoys racing and generally goofing around with him at 2000 feet, and has grown used to his cold-exuding magic.
Pippa /Hatgirl, Hathuman, Clever-Human-Who-Wears-The-Hat: A young human girl living in Burgress, who engaged Nightlight in a snowball fight after Pitch's defeat. She is one of the only entities that Nightlight has permitted to 'ride' her. Nightlight seems fascinated by her hat, and will often seek Pippa and her *amazing* hat when she is in Burgress.
Enemies[]
Pitch Black has shown himself to be a threat towards Pippa, Jack Frost and others Nightlight is close to. She views Pitch as an enemy, along with his Nightmares, and will attack both on sight.
Nightlight is at odds with a human named Colin Henderson from Kennyslee (a town several hundred miles from Burgress.) He is a big-game hunter who used to hunt trophy animals in Africa before he moved to the States. He has become convinced of her existence, although he believes Nightlight to be two creatures: a panther and some form of black-scaled reptile, "perhaps a crocodile, I gave my ex a bag made from their skin before she divorced me." (Mr Henderson is not known for his value of conservation.) Either way, he has vowed to "catch 'im and string his hide on my floor." Nightlight enjoys 'taunting' and playing tricks with him on the fringes of her territory, leading him further away from her den and prey-rich hunting areas.
